Subject Macroeconomics 2 is the advanced form of the subject Macroeconomics, which is taught in bachelor study program. The goal is the enlargement of economic knowledge, mainly focused on macroeconomic theories. The main topics of the subject are aggregate indicators, the macroeconomic equilibrium including the models of economic equilibrium, the theory of the factor market, money market, business policy and actual economic questions. Subject specific learning outcomes and competences.

Within the subject, neo-Keynesian, monetarist, new classical and new Keynesian doctrines are confronted and discussed. The IS-LM model. Fiscal and monetary policies in the IS-LM model. The augmented IS-LM model. Static aggregate demand models. The dynamic aggregate demand model. Short-run aggregate supply models. The macroeconomics of imperfect competition. Unemployment and inflation. Phillips and Taylor curves. Consumption, investment, and the business cycle.
The Solow-Swan model of economic growth. New growth theory. Financial crises and their macroeconomic impacts. Tutorials: 1. Topical macroeconomic problems of the Czech Republic discussion. Fiscal policy multipliers.
Monetary policy multipliers. Analysis of the changes in expected inflation and the maturity premium components. Aggregate demand and aggregate supply. The Lucas model of aggregate supply.
